What does a fashion buyer do?
A Fashion Buyer in the Product Preparation Department coordinates the production process: they take care of purchasing the necessary materials and components to create collections, negotiate prices and deadlines with suppliers and maintain business relationships with them. They also look for new markets/suppliers, monitor current sales and work closely with designers on newly created collections and current trends.
How to become a fashion buyer at LPP?
Negotiation and analytical skills and a very good knowledge of English are important for this position. The ability to establish and maintain relationships and focus on business targets is highly valued. Knowledge of the fashion market is also a big advantage.
